US Legion of Merit Officer Medal

Authorized on 20 July 1942 to all members of the United States Armed Forces and foreign nationals, for exceptionally meritorious conduct and achievement in a key position of responsibility. The Officer grade is generally awarded to field grade officers of foreign/freindly armed forces.
