Description
The World War II French Croix de Guerre Medal of 1939-1945 was awarded to both French & Allied soldiers for combat heroism fighting alongside France in WW II, and included many Americans. Struck in bronze in France, these are the finest reproductions on the market, and originals are becoming more and more difficult to obtain. The medal consists of a cross with crossed swords and the obverse center roundel features the head of the French Republic. The center roundel on the reverse is dated 1943.
