Edelweiss for Visor Cap

Worn by Gebirgsjäger, or Mountain Troops, these Edelweiss alpine flowers are correctly made in two pieces, featuring an frosted silver finish with a brass center, both faithfully reproduced from originals in our collection. This hard-to-find, small size is one of only 3 insignias authorized for wear on the visor cap and is correctly made in two pieces with 2 pins for attachment (26mm x 32mm).

The larger emblem with the correct WWII style straight stem was extremely popular for wear on the M-43 ‘Bergmutze’ ski cap. Commonly sewn on through the 4 holes, but 2 prongs allow for pinned attachment, if preferred (40mm x 57mm). Large Edelweiss also available in antique finish.
