Edelweiss Cap Insignia

Worn by ‘Gebirgsjäger’, or Mountain Troops, these ‘Edelweiss’ alpine flowers are correctly made in two pieces, featuring an aluminum flower with a brass center, both faithfully reproduced from originals in our collection. We also offer this in a dark, antique finish.  Item number 0105-016-040.

The larger emblem with the correct WWII style straight stem was extremely popular for wear on the M-43 ‘Bergmutze’ ski cap. Commonly sewn on through the 4 holes, but 2 prongs allow for pinned attachment if preferred (40mm x 57mm). The hard-to-find, small size is one of only 3 insignias authorized for wear on the visor cap and ours is correctly made in two pieces with 2 pins for attachment (26mm x 32mm).
