Description
Original U.S. World War II magazine pouches were designed to carry 30-round stick magazines for the Thompson submachine gun, including the M1 and M1A1 variants. Constructed from sturdy OD canvas (typically OD#3 early war or OD#7 later war), the pouch features three vertical cells, each holding a single 30-round .45 ACP magazine.
Each pouch is secured with a fold-over flap and lift-the-dot fastener, protecting the magazines from dirt and debris. The reverse side is fitted with 4" wide webbing belt loop for attachment to standard web belts or combat gear.
Marked with “U.S.” on the back and often stamped with the manufacturer’s name and date below that, this pouch was issued primarily to infantry, tank crews, and airborne troops who relied on the Thompson for close-quarters combat. It’s a highly collectible and functional piece of WWII U.S. military equipment, valued for its rugged construction and combat history.
