The German WWII Kriegsmarine Minesweeper War Badge from Reddick Militaria is die struck in fine detail, with the correct style, round vertical pin back. Our badge is hallmarked R.S. for the well-known Rudolf Souval factory of Vienna, Austria.
The Minesweeper Badge was intituted on 31 August 1940 by Grand Admiral Erich Raeder and was awarded to members of the Kriegsmarine for service on minesweeper vessels. The badge was worn on the lower part of the left breast pocket of the naval tunic underneath the 1st class Iron Cross if awarded or equivalent grade award.
