Description
In response to requests for a top quality WWI Imperial German Blue Max Medal, Reddick Militaria now offers this early style, as produced in the 1832 to 1915 period. With its correctly styled lettering, finely detailed eagles, and proper, high domed enameling in light blue, it is gold plated and very close to the originals in quality. This beautiful medal, the "Pour Le Merite", was first instituted in 1740 and originally made of gold, then later in silver-gilt. Our reproduction features the pie-shaped suspension and is furnished complete with the proper silver and black neck ribbon. Medal measures 52mm.
