Description
The WWI Imperial German Blue Max, or Pour Le Merite, as it is more properly known, was instituted in 1740 and was originally made of gold, then later in silver-gilt. Our top quality reproductions are the early pattern and double sided with pie-shaped suspensions from the period 1832-1915. Featuring highly detailed eagles both front and back, and gold plating with blue enamel, the medals measure 52mm, and are furnished complete with a length of the correct style black and silver neck ribbon.
