Key features include:
-
Heavy-duty cotton canvas in Light OD color
- Rigger modified type with carbine mag pouch
-
Canvas loops and snap tabs for attaching to jump gear or web belts
-
Perfect fit for the folded M1A1 Carbine configuration
Measuring approximately 26 inches in length, and marked "U.S.", this compact and rugged case was designed for airborne troops who needed to carry their weapons securely during jumps and in combat.
Ideal for WWII militaria collectors, reenactors, or as a historical display piece, our scabbard, or jump case, is a faithful reproduction of the original wartime design. This reproduction captures the practicality and spirit of the airborne soldier’s kit.
Paratrooper Jump cases were issued to select U.S. Airborne units like the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions beginning circa 1943, along with the widespread deployment of the M1A1 Carbine. Original WWII jump cases were produced by several contractors, with the most well-documented makers including Kadin, marked 1943 or 1944, Carr, marked 1944 or 1945, and Hoffman, marked 1943. These markings were usually ink-stamped on the inside flap or along the edge of the case. Original cases are now highly collectible.
