Description

Reddick Militaria's reproduction M1 Garand Canvas Carrying Case with Fleece Lining is the same as the standard type issued in 1943-44, but ours features the addition of a protective fleece lining. Made from heavy canvas duck in Light OD, shade #3. It features a heavy duty, brass zipper that is double stitched, and a carrying strap made of 1" wide woven cotton webbing, just like the WWII originals, although they were never issued with a fleece lining. The zipper is reinforced at each end with heavy leather, brown tabs, with a double canvas reinforcement at the magazine area.  Approximately 46" long and 11" high at the widest area, these are marked "U.S." and are excellent for everyday use and storage as well as for reenactors and collectors.

The U.S. WWII Canvas Case for the M1 Garand is a military-issued, soft transport case designed to carry and protect the .30 caliber M1 Garand rifle during World War II. Made from heavy-duty cotton canvas, this case offered American soldiers a lightweight, durable, and field-ready solution for transporting their weapon—especially during airborne operations or when stowing rifles in vehicles.

The case typically measures around 45 to 46 inches in length, just long enough to securely house the standard Garand. Constructed from olive drab (OD#3 or OD#7) canvas, it featured a heavy duty brass zipper closure attached with reinforced stitching. Most versions included reinforced stitching and leather tabs, with heavy duty web carrying straps.

Most cases are marked with a bold "U.S." stencil on the exterior, and may also have manufacturer markings and production dates on the interior—common manufacturers include names like Sears, KADIN, and Hoff Mfg Co, Inc, along with dates ranging from 1943–1945.

These canvas cases were not only functional but also symbolic of the practical innovation behind U.S. military gear during WWII. Today, original examples are sought after by collectors, reenactors, and M1 Garand enthusiasts, especially those in good condition with visible wartime markings.
