Carl Eickhorn was one the largest edged weapon and fine steel manufacturer based in Solingen from 1900-1945. Paul Casberg, who worked for Eickhorn, was the principle designer for many of the German daggers carried throughout WWII. Eickhorn was established in 1865 and quickly built a reputation for producing very high quality products the firm advertised their wares by stamping or etching the firms squirrel trademark onto the blades.
