Third Reich Im Dienst der Deutschen Wehrmacht Armband

The "Deutschen Wehrmacht" armband from Reddick Militaria is a white cotton band approximately 4-1/4" wide with black printed lettering on three lines: "Im Dienst der Deutschland Wehrmacht" (In Service of the German Armed Forces). The top and bottom edges are reinforced with a row of stitching and it is joined in back with a machine stitched, vertical seam.

Introduced on 1 October 1941 for wear by non-German civilians serving the Armed Forces and for Russian Auxiliaries when not in uniform, it was worn on the upper left sleeve. These were necessary to identify the growing sector of non-uniformed personnel serving in a military capacity with a branch of the armed forces.

Accurately printed or embroidered and period correct, Reddick Militaria's armbands are copied directly from original Third Reich pieces and feature correctly styled lettering in the proper colors. They are made on high quality, heavy cotton or wool fabric of the correct color and are approximately 4" to 4-1/4" wide.
