Description
The WWII German Wehrmacht Feldjägerkorps Gorget was issued to the Feldjägerkommando, which was formed in 1944 with the German armies in full retreat. Their duties were to round up stragglers and return them to their units as well as to deal with persons found behind the lines without proper papers.
Reddick Militaria's high quality reproductions are in brushed aluminum color with the applied Wehrmacht eagle in the center, two buttons and the inscription on a dark grey scroll, these devices are all painted in a fluorescent, yellowish-cream color for vision at night. Complete with the correct linked chain and tab hangers on the reverse side, the underside being lined with field grey wool, as were the originals. 6-1/2” wide with 30” long chain.
