High Quality German Cross in Gold - Rudolf Souval

Recently we uncovered several old stock German Crosses in Gold & Silver, most of which are the high quality type produced in Japan 15 to 20 years ago. We also found one other post-war piece by Rudolf Souval of Vienna, Austria. This is a very nice piece and, of course, no longer being made today.

Although unmarked, this is a piece that we purchased from the Souval firm in Vienna, Austria on a visit to the factory in the mid-1990s. This venerable old firm has been out of business for many years now, but they continued to produce a wide variety of World War II German badges up until the time of their closing. Most of these badges & medals were produced on original, war-time dies, so they are very good quality pieces. We have one example left, which does not show riveted construction as did the originals. However, the quality is extremely nice, showing excellent detail.
