The scabbard is covered with genuine pebble grain leather in dark brown to match the grip color and the scabbard features fittings feature detailed motifs of oak leaves and acorns with matching upper and lower crossguards, all in high relief with the correct frosted silver finish.
Introduced in 1935, the SA Honor Dagger was bestowed upon SA High Leaders who exhibited a distinguished service record in the SA. It was personally presented by Victor Lutze, the Chief of Staff of the SA.
The dagger is the same basical configuration as the standard 1933 SA Service Dagger, with the main difference being the top and bottom crossguards in silver plate, with high relief motifs of oak leaves and acorns. The scabbard was covered in brown, pebble grain leather with matching upper and lower fittings, also in high relief oak leaves and acorns on both the obverse and reverse.
