Description
Our replacement German WWII Naval Dagger Grips are produced in Europe and are almost identical to the original orange grips found on some Third Reich Kriegsmarine Officer Daggers. Orange grips were made of a phenolic resin under the trade name of Trolon, which was produced by the Dynamit-Nobel chemical plant in Troisdorf, Rhineland, Germany. Our grips are excellent for use on high quality restorations or as replacements for missing or damaged Naval dagger grips.
Please note that we make these grips so they will fit minor variations in dagger tangs, which is not unusual between various makers. So they might not slip right onto your dagger without some minor alteration. If the grip is too tight, the inside can be enlarged with a small triangular file. If your crossguard or pommel won't fit, some minor filing of the top and bottom will take care of it. We have tried these on a number of original German Naval Daggers and have not ever found one that wouldn't work.
