German NSKK - Niedersachsen Commemorative Medallion

This large medallion (2-5/8”) is brightly plated in silver with a black enamel border and white enamel center, mounted with an antique silver NSKK Eagle in high relief. The inscription around the edge reads “4 Niedersächsische Burgenfahrt; Motorgruppe Niedersachsen” with the date 21. VII.1938. This was to commemorate a rally of the Nazi Motor Corps of Lower Saxony, with a route leading between historic castles or “Burgen.”
