Description
Our repro ID discs are struck from zinc-coated material in oval shape, exactly like the originals. They feature the distinctive 3 slits along the center line with two holes at the top and one at the bottom for the Army and Luftwaffe. Left blank so that they can be filled out for re-enacting or display, they are easy to stamp with standard letter sets and are the ultimate in authenticity!
Early war discs were struck in aluminum but when this was became a registered metal at the onset of war, other metals such as pot metal and zinc were used.
