Description
Specially made for us by our cap maker in Germany, the successor to the EREL (Lubstein) firm, these caps are now available from our regular stock!
Introduced in the early 1930's, this style cap served as the basis for the later, M-43 design. However, it has a noticeably shorter visor and higher crown, giving it a very distinctive style. The Enlisted model is made of the fine quality field grey wool and features a correct, grey-green cotton lining, pebbled buttons painted to match the cap according to regulations, and a partial sweatband in thin, grey or brown leather that is typical of higher quality caps. Maker marked with the early bevo label "EREL Sonderklasse, Ges. Gesch., Robert Lubstein, Berlin No. 55" and ink stamped: "1942" along with the cap size. Available in sizes 56 through 61.
