American Society of Military Insignia Collectors
The American Society of Military Insignia Collectors (ASMIC) is the oldest and largest organization of collectors of military insignia in the world. Founded in 1937 by a small group of enthusiasts and chartered as a non-profit organization, today the Society is 'home' to nearly 3,000 dedicated collectors in the United States and two dozen foreign countries. Whether you are a collector of military insignia or a student of heraldry or military history, whether an expert or a novice, you will find that membership in ASMIC has many advantages.

Association of American Military Uniform Collectors (AAMUC)
The Association of American Military Uniform Collectors was founded early in 1977 by a small group of collectors of American military uniforms who felt the need to work together to improve their personal collections and themselves by exchanging their ideas and knowledge. As a group, AAMUC (pronounced "amuck" is dedicated to the collection, preservation and study of American military uniforms.

Orders and Medals Society of America
The Orders and Medals Society of America, Incorporated, is a nonprofit corporation chartered under Articles of Incorporation in the State of California. Its purpose is to foster and promote the educational development of interested parties through the research, recording and dissemination of information and knowledge of Orders of Chivalry, decorations, medals and other honors, past and present, military and civil, of the world community of nations.

Military Collectors Club of Canada
The Military Collectors Club of Canada was formed in 1963 to serve as the focal point for Canadian Collectors of all types of military artifacts from medals, badges, artwork, to Military arms, vehicles and just about anything Militaria related. Since that time, it has grown into an organization of Approximately 1000 Members in Canada, USA and Overseas, ( making it an International Club) whose interests cover the entire spectrum of Militaria collecting, Military history and research.

The Military Historical Society of Australia
The aims of the Military Historical Society of Australia are the encouragement and pursuit of study and research in the history, customs, traditions, dress, arms, equipment and kindred matters; the promotion of public interest and knowledge in these subjects, and the preservation of historical objects with particular reference to the armed forces of Australia.

Military Vehicles Preservation Society
MVPA provides an international organization for military vehicle enthusiasts, historians, preservationists and collectors interested in the acquisition, restoration, preservation, safe operation, public education and display of historic military transport.

The Orders and Medals Research Society

Air Force Association
The Air Force Association is an independent, nonprofit, civilian organization promoting public understanding of aerospace power and the pivotal role it plays in the security of the nation.

Air Force Sergeant's Association
AFSA is the Air Force enlisted organization dedicated to the people behind the stripes. The men and women behind the high tech machinery, the military protocol, the daring maneuvers ... the people who have invested their lives in the cause of freedom in America.

The American Legion
The American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic, mutual-help, war-time veterans organization. A community-service organization which now numbers nearly 3 million members -- men and women -- in nearly 15,000 American Legion Posts worldwide. These Posts are organized into 55 Departments -- one each for the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, France, Mexico, and the Philippines.

Veterans of Foreign Wars
The Veterans of Foreign Wars has a rich tradition in enhancing the lives of millions through its community service programs and special projects. Order of Daedalians

Military Officers Association of America (MOAA)
An independent, nonprofit organization, MOAA is operated exclusively to benefit members of the uniformed services-active duty, former and retired, National Guard and Reserve-and their families and survivors. MOAA is dedicated to preserving their earned entitlements and to maintaining a strong national defense. Six out of 10 retired officers belong to MOAA, as do more than 30,000 active duty officers.

Fleet Reserve Association
The Fleet Reserve Association (FRA) is a nonprofit organization comprised of enlisted personnel (active duty, reserve, and retired) of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard. Our membership includes approximately 122,000 dues-paying Shipmates who belong to one of FRA's more than 300 Branches, or are carried on the Membership-at-Large rolls. 20th Century Tactical Studies Group, Inc.
The 20th Century Tactical Studies Group, Inc. (USA)--"The TSG" is a non-profit, non-political organization established to promote public awareness of sacrifices made by the common soldier of all armies during the conflicts of the 20th century.We are a group of historians and collectors with a common goal of preserving history and honoring our veterans. The TSG sponsors public and private battle reenactments,displays of military equipment,uniforms and vehicles. We also participate in parades,air shows,honor guards,VFW dances and media projects.(Documentaries,movies,etc) Our membership of over 1000 spans the nation from coast to coast and some over seas.

Air Gunners Association
Hereford Branch - Dedicated to over 55,000 Aircrew who lost their lives in the Battle of Britain, of which over 28,000 were Air Gunners - Without their efforts, we would not have our FREEDOM!

Australian Light Horse Association
This site is dedicated to the Australian Light Horse Regiments, and the Light Horsemen who served their country in both war and peace. It is sponsored by The Australian Light Horse Association Ltd whose aim is to preserve the history and tradition of the Australian Light Horse and its predecessors.

Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR)
The DAR, founded in 1890 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., is a volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America's future through better education for children.

The Gallipoli Association
A great organisation. The Gallipoli Association's objective is to preserve the memory of the men who served in, and commemorate the events of, the campaign on the Gallipoli Peninsula. The Association has members worldwide. They range from veterans of the campaign itself, authors, specialists and amateur historians, to relatives of those who served and those who simply have a desire to remember. The Association produces a very worthwhile and informative quarterly publication, 'The Gallipolian', which is sent to all members.

Great War Society
The Great War Society encourages discussion, learning, scholarship and independent research on the events surrounding the First World War. Their site is designed to reach those of you who share our enthusiasm and interest in this historical era, to allow correspondence to assist in your investigations.

The National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR)
Out of the Sires grew the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, which was organized on April 30, l889 -- the l00th anniversary of the inauguration of George Washington as our nation's first President. We have used the acronym SAR to identify ourselves for over l00 years. The SAR was conceived as a fraternal and civic society composed of lineal descendants of the men who wintered at Valley forge, signed the Declaration of Independence, fought in the battles of the American Revolution, served in the Continental Congress, or otherwise supported the cause of American Independence. The National Society was chartered by an Act of the US Congress in l906.

New Zealand Military Historical Society
The Society was formed to foster the study of New Zealand military history of warfare in New Zealand, New Zealanders at war, and to encourage research into traditions, uniforms, insignia and arms.

Scottish Military Historical Society
For thirty years the society has united a fraternity of like-minded enthusiasts around the world and sharing a common interest in the history of Scotland and its regiments. The Scottish Military Historical Society exists to encourage the study of Scottish military history in its various collecting forms. Membership is open to anyone interested in that study, be they amateur or professional. The society covers such subjects as the collecting of information, badges, buttons, plaid brooches, head-dress, uniforms, medals, books, photographs, postcards, prints, water colours, military equipment, and Scottish weapons.

The Scottish Military Historical Society
The Scottish Military Historical Society exists to encourage the study of Scottish military history in its various collecting forms, mainly from the 1660's to the present day. Membership is open to anyone interested in that study, be they amateur or professional. The society covers such subjects as the collecting of information, badges, buttons, plaid brooches, head-dress, uniforms, medals, books, photographs, postcards, prints, watercolours, military equipment, and Scottish weapons. Dispatch, the hard copy printed journal of the Society is issued to all fully paid up members. The Society is based in in Scotland, and run by Scots, with monthly meetings in Glasgow for local members, email for details if visiting the City. Guests are welcome.

South African Military History Society
The South African Military History Society was formed 31 years ago in Johannesburg by a core group of amateur historians with the purpose of studying and promoting the studying of military history. Since that time, it has grown to a Society of approximately 500 members primarily located in three branches, namely Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town, as well as members located throughout the world. Activities of the Society are publication of research in the bi-annual Military History Journal, Monthly lectures in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town, Monthly newsletters, Day visits to battlefields, Weekend visits to battlefields.

The Western Front Association
Main site for the association which was formed with the aim of furthering interest in the period 1914-1918.

Western Front Association
Established in 1980 by noted military historian John Giles, the Association has grown over the years to more than 6,500 members worldwide. The WFA has supported many remembrance and research projects, from the renovation of battlefield memorials, to organising care for the veterans, to re-establishing the 11 o'clock two-minute silence at the Cenotaph on the 11th November each year. Numerous battlefield maps are available online, as is an extensive photo tour of many WWI battlegrounds, such as:

3rd Para Brigade
The 3rd Para Brigade is a World War Two reenacting and living history group which draws its membership from the Northwest United States and Western Canada. The group participates in tactical recreations of WWII battles as well as living history displays for the public. This site contains information about reenacting, the history of the Brigade in WWII, the equipment and uniforms used by WWII parachutists, and photos from living history and reenacting events.

6th Fallschirmjaeger Regiment of Washington
6th Fallschirmjaeger Regiment of Washington is a non-political historical reenactment group that portrays a German Paratroop squad from WWII. Our unit, incorporated as a not for profit organization in Washington State, has been a member of the Northwest Historical Association since 1997.

9th SS Panzer Division 'Hohenstaufen'
We are a TSG unit with members in the Michigan area that portray the 9th SS Panzer Division during the years 1943-1945. The 9th SS fought on both the Eastern and Western front giving our unit the option of attending events based on either. By reenacting as the 9th SS we have created a unique opportunity to battle along side of the majority of existing reenactor units that had their original units engaged in battle along side of or against the 9th SS. This historic accuracy in the field is an important aspect in our determination to be authentic and realistic in all facets of the hobby.

167th Volksgrenadier Division
The 167th Volksgrenadier Division is a Texas based re-enactment/living history organization. The 167th Volksgrenadier Division has three levels of membership so those with a busy professional and home lives, can still be involved. We have members in Austin, Houston and Dallas. We will be glad to help anyone with a genuine interest in the legitimate pursuit of historical re-enactment/living history. We are an active, we camp out whenever possible and engaged in both tactical (not open to the public) and show (open to the public) events, therefore, we are not limiting membership to Texas; if you can make it to the events we schedule on our Calendar you are welcome to join us.

Army Group South (Australia)
Army Group South is an Australian living history organisation based in Brisbane, Queensland and its core purpose is the historical recreation of the combat soldier of WW2, which it strives to achieve by supporting sub-units of various national forces of the period e.g Commonwealth, German, American, Russian, Polish, etc.

The California Historical Group World War II Living History Association (CHG)
The California Historical Group World War II Living History Association (CHG) (USA)--is non-profit educational and historical society. We exist for the sole purpose of remembering and paying tribute to combat soldier of WWII. We do this but reserving period artifacts, and researching their use, origins, and those that used them. Our club events consist of battle reenactments and public displays, in effort to better educate the general public as well as our selves on the daily rigors of the common soldier in WWII.

The English Civil War Society
The two elements of the English Civil War Society, the King’s Army and the Roundhead Association, are organisations of enthusiasts who gather together at ‘musters’ throughout the country during the annual ‘campaign season’, which lasts from March to October, to re-enact events of the English Civil Wars. We have been active for over 25 years, seeking to recreate that turbulent period in English history, when the country was torn apart by a Civil War in which brother fought against brother.

Kompanie 1 Reenactment Society
Based in the UK, Kompanie 1 is currently one of the largest re-enactment societies in Europe taking part in public and private battles around the country as well as putting on static displays at officially organised military and WWII shows. Until recently, Kompanie 1 specilalised on the 12thSS Hitlerjugend, but we now have a range of units that we re-enact.

The Napoleonic Association
The Napoleonic Association was formed by, and for people with a common interest in the history of the period from the French Revolution through to the battle of Waterloo. Whether fascinated by the social history of this "Age of Elegance", researching the military history of the campaigns of Wellington and Napoleon or recreating the battles of the period, for real or in miniature, the Napoleonic Association has a lot to offer.

Northwest Historical Association (NWHA)
Operating in the Pacific Northwest, the Northwest Historical Association has active members from Oregon, Washington, Idaho and British Columbia. The NWHA encourages people with an interest in the Second World War to join in the fun and challenge of reenacting. You will gain greater understanding of what life was like as an infantryman facing other infantrymen in a grim struggle beyond your control.

Reenactor.Net
On Reenactor.Net you will find information about historical reen-acting around the world. The links are broken down into what we call "Time/Areas" or simply "T/A's." Each of the T/A's are run by an Assistant Webmaster who is active in that period and holds a great love for it.

The Sealed Knot - English Civil War Re-enactment
The Sealed Knot helps bring history alive every year at period houses throughout the country where you can talk to major historical figures, try out a few recipes, learn about the life of a soldier on the march and maybe even "take the King's shilling". What better way to teach children about the period than with a little "hands-on" experience.

World War 2 Historical Preservation Group
The World War 2 Historical Preservation Group (USA)--An East Coast WWII reenacting umbrella organization. W2HPG is an inovator in WWII reenacting by being the first organization to use the Combat System. The Combat System (GCS) allows reenacting to be more "real" by actually injecting many of the objectives and limitations of real combat in to the reenactment.

WWII Historical Re-enactment Society, Inc.
The WWII Historical Re-enactment Society, Inc. (USA)--usually just referred to as the "HRS", this was the first WWII Reenacting organization in the US, holding battles back in the mid-seventies. The WWII HRS has an international membership approaching 1000 men and women. Collectors of militaria, historians, businessmen, students, and anyone who fosters an interest in the Second World War are a part of a unique group that depicts the events of the European Theater of Operations from 1939-1945.
