Description
The Marshallstab, or Field Marshal's Baton, was a fantastic symbol of rank and was presented to General Albert Kesselring upon his promotion to Generalfeldmarschall.
The multi-piece construction is like the original, with the blue velvet covered shaft, fitted with 40 separately applied devices consisting of the Wehrmacht eagle in gold plate and alternating silver plated Iron Crosses with black enamel centers. The end caps are finished in quality gold and silver plating, featuring the Wehrmacht eagle at one end and the Iron Cross at the other, with raised lettering around the top and bottom inscription rings showing the name, rank, date, and appreciation message from the German people.
This high quality, full-size metal piece weighs almost six pounds and measures 20" long. It is furnished with its own custom-fitted, black leatherette presentation case lined in white, velvet-like material.
