High Quality German Cross in Gold - Old Production, #1

We found this old stock German Cross in Gold, which is a very nice quality reproduction produced some 20 to 25 years ago. These are  are no longer being made today.

This is a nicely made WWII German Cross in Gold, featuring vaulted, 5-piece construction and with 4 rivets for attachment. The basic starburst is in beautiful silver plate, and the seccond piece is a blackened, oxidized silver finish. The central disc is also frosted silver plate with a red enamel outer ring surrounding the gilt wreath, which has the correct 1941 date at the lower edge. The hard enamel swastika is outlined in contrasting bright silver, making this a fabulous display piece. The pin back is a narrow, flat shape with hinge and hook.
